Pax Mediation Nominated for Two National Mediation Awards 2026

We’re delighted to share some exciting news from Pax Mediation: our team has been nominated in two categories at the National Mediation Awards 2026.

🏆 Legal Aid Provider of the Year

We would, of course, be thrilled to make the shortlist when it is announced later this year. But whatever happens next, receiving these two nominations gives us a very good reason to stop for a moment and celebrate the people behind Pax.

Celebrating the Pax Mediation team

Family mediation is very much a team effort.

Our mediators work directly with separating families, helping parents and former partners have difficult conversations and explore possible ways forward. They bring professionalism, impartiality and care to work that can often take place at an incredibly difficult time in people's lives.

But a family mediation service is about much more than what happens in the mediation room.

Our administrative team is there from a client's first contact with Pax, helping people understand the next steps, arranging appointments and supporting the considerable amount of work that takes place behind the scenes.

Every member of the team has a part to play in providing the service our clients receive, and these nominations are an opportunity to recognise all of them.

Nominated for Mediation Provider of the Year

Being nominated for Mediation Provider of the Year at the National Mediation Awards 2026 is something we're incredibly proud of.

At Pax, we want families to receive a professional, accessible and supportive family mediation service from the moment they first contact us.

We also believe strongly in investing in the people who provide that service. Supporting mediators as they train and develop, maintaining high professional standards, sharing knowledge and continuing to improve the way we work are all important parts of life at Pax.

We're proud of the culture our team has created and of the commitment they show to their work and to one another.

Nominated for Legal Aid Provider of the Year

Our nomination for Legal Aid Provider of the Year is equally important to us.

Pax Mediation is committed to providing Legal Aid family mediation for eligible families.

Cost should not unnecessarily prevent separating families from finding out whether mediation could help them. Legal Aid can make family mediation accessible to people who may otherwise struggle to afford professional support during separation.

Providing a high-quality Legal Aid mediation service also requires a significant amount of work behind the scenes. Our team works hard to manage the requirements of publicly funded mediation while making the process as straightforward as possible for the families who come to us.

We're very proud that this aspect of our work has been recognised with a National Mediation Awards nomination.

What family mediation means to us

At its heart, family mediation is about giving people an opportunity to talk about the things that matter to them and consider their options following separation.

That might involve arrangements for children, communication between parents, property, finances or other practical issues that need to be resolved.

Mediators remain impartial and do not make decisions for families. Instead, our role is to provide a structured process in which people can explore whether they are able to find their own way forward.

It is work our team cares deeply about.

A very proud moment for Team Pax

Awards aren't why we do what we do, but it is lovely when the work of a team is recognised.

These nominations reflect the contribution of our mediators, our administrative team and everyone who works behind the scenes to make Pax Mediation what it is.

The shortlist for the National Mediation Awards 2026 will be announced on 21 October. We'd be delighted to see Pax progress further in either category – and naturally we'd be rather pleased to win!

For now, though, we're very happy simply to celebrate being nominated for both Mediation Provider of the Year and Legal Aid Provider of the Year.
